forget-me-nots

My friend gave me one of those little starter kits for forget-me-nots and it came with a little pot, some soil and seeds. There were a lot of seeds so I put extra in the bigger pot. The seeds in the bigger pot are beginning to sprout... but I don't know whats wrong with the mini pot... I think I might have drowned them, but its weird because the little pot has the soil it came with and the big pot has extra soil I had lying around.

easter bunny smores

I made up these little treats for my friends. They have marshmallow peeps, crushed up graham crackers and m&m chocolate eggs. Add a tag that gives the cooking directions:
1. Empty contents into a bowl, snip the bunnies into bits with the kitchen sheers or cup up with a knife, return bunny bits to mixture, mix well.
2. Melt half a cup for butter, add 1 tsp. vanilla, pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well.
3. Pat into a greased 9" square pan, bake at 350 for 15 minutes. cool and cut into bars. enjoy!

spring themed serving trays

Here are my last two serving trays that I finally finished! I made them spring themed with nice bright frames and a nice contrasting fabric underneath the glass.

earrings

Because the weather still isn't in my favour to finish my spray painting, I'm posting some earrings I made a while back. I found my sister's bead collection and went a little nuts!

serving trays part 2

Because of the rain I have only been able to finish two out of the four serving trays. I think I need a garage...So here they are!

serving trays with a twist!

I found this idea out in the internet last week, using old picture frames and giving them a makeover to be serving trays. I have already bought some frames from my local thrift store (they have some pretty cool designs in them) and I have begun sanding them down. I couldn't help myself at the store and bought 4 frames because I loved them all...I forgot how much sanding that would be for me! Here is how far I have gotten: about half way through sanding. I had to stop because my sand paper became too dull and i needed more. I hope to have them all sanded and cleaned up by the end of the weekend. Then I can paint them cool colours! The big one didn't come with glass underneath so I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about that...

My Garden Shelf

Living in a very small one bedroom apartment, not to mention living on the second floor, I have little room for my "garden". Actually, I only have one good window that gets sun so I am limited to one table top. Here are a few photos of my favorite plants that I am managing to keep alive: my mini roses and my newest member which was a gift from a friend.
I am wondering if my roses have out-grown its pot already... But I just transplanted them only a few months ago. Here is my Piggy Bank that I just love so much. I'm not sure where I got her, but I've had her with me for most of my life. I keep her up with my plants.
